National emergency scenario planning - table-top exercise at the Beehive Bunker
As a CEO member of the Forum, you’re invited to an exclusive in-person table-top exercise at the National Crisis Management Centre (known as the Beehive Bunker), hosted by NEMA in October.
Preparedness is not built through planning alone – it is strengthened through practice. Exercising is one of the most effective ways to test assumptions, identify gaps, and build confidence in crisis decision-making before a real event occurs. For boards and CEOs, it provides insight into how their organisation and the wider eco-system perform under pressure.
Drawing on the diversity of Forum membership, this exercise will bring leaders from across sectors and industries to explore the complexities of responding to a major disruption. This unique opportunity will challenge participants to consider the strategic decisions, competing priorities, and interdependencies emerge during a rapidly evolving event, while gaining a collective sense of the role business leaders play in New Zealand’s wider resilience and recovery.
