Leaving a legacy beyond the assets - Auckland Airport's 25-year plan to transform facilities and safety capability
As the country's primary international gateway, Auckland Aiport is a significant, complex and critical piece of national infrastructure.
We are excited to offer the opportunity for Forum CEOs to "see behind the curtain" of one of New Zealand's largest infrastructure projects - Auckland Aiport's most significant upgrade undertaken in its 60 years' history. Auckland Airport's 2025 Master Plan sets a 25-year vision for core operations, climate response and future fuel and transport connections. Delivering on that Master Plan involves sustained efforts from many leaders, businesses, workers and the wider South Auckland community.

CEO-only site tour of a nationally significant project
This session is an opportunity to hear from Auckland Airpot's Chief Executive Carrie Hurihanganui and members of her senior leadership team on what successful delivery of this programme means, as well as the leadership work needed to execute that Master Plan.
Forum CEOs will also get to see firsthand what that leadership and work looks like in practice through a guided site tour of the Domestic Jet Terminal upgrade being led by Hawkins.
Governance, PCBU responsibilities, supply chain leadership and beyond
This visit will focus on leadership and governance in practice, including how PCBU responsibilities, leadership due diligence, and safety assurance are being exercised across a complex, high-risk environment involving multiple contractors and supply chain partners.
The session will also explore the opportunities to leverage significant projects to deliver a legacy beyond asset delivery, including workforce capability development, more resilient and trusted supply chain relationships, and new innovations and technologies.
This half-day visit offers a unique opportunity to see safety in action within a nationally significant project and to take away lessons that can be applied within your organisation and across your supply chains.
