In August 2025, the Forum organised a field trip for 20 Forum CEOs to spend a day at Rio Tinto | New Zealand Aluminium Smelter, to see firsthand the scale and complexity of this iconic site at Tiwai.

25 Forum members, including CEOs and senior leaders, spent a full day with Methanex senior leaders, toured the facility, and heard how catastrophic risks are managed by 'keeping the tiger in the cage'.
